The all-new 2020MY Hyundai Sonata is ALG’s mainstream redesign of the year award winner. Exemplifying a whole new design direction for what a midsize sedan can be, the new Sonata sports an aggressive coupe-like stance that evokes a luxury sedan with Hyundai’s new “Sensuous Sportiness” design language, and is lower, wider, and longer than the previous generation. The new Sonata provides a slew of premium technology upgrades including Hyundai’s digital key to unlock and start the engine from a smartphone, remote smart park and wireless cell phone charging. The upscale accompaniments also extend to the interior with an available 12.3” digital instrument cluster and 10.25” infotainment display, alongside a button-based gear selector and premium materials throughout the cabin. The all-new Sonata elevates the standard midsize sedan onto another level.

The 2020 Corvette’s new exotic design allows for a more aggressive wedge shape that was previously reserved for the upper echelon of other sports car manufacturers while maintaining Corvette’s unique styling characteristics. Furthermore, its interior receives a completely driver-focused experience dressed in the finest leather. Hyundai finds success with the redesigned Santa Fe in one of the largest and most competitive segments in the industry. The exterior moves away from its slab-sided predecessor, boasting a more aggressive front fascia with bold lines carrying to the back of the vehicle. The interior receives a full makeover breathing fresh air to the cabin with a larger center display, refined instrument cluster, and an optional panoramic sunroof. Hyundai’s overall degree of change and execution warrant Santa Fe the ALG Redesign of the Year.

The all-new GLS includes a new feature that makes prepping your vehicle for the car wash just a button press away. The newest feature aptly named Carwash Mode, conducts all of the necessary checks to optimize exterior cleaning, while ensuring the interior stays dry. The GLS will close the sunroof, turn on climate recirculation mode, pauses the rain sensing wiper, and activates the exterior camera, all while raising the vehicle's air suspension to thoroughly wash the undercarriage. The mode is automatically deactivated once the vehicle reaches 20 km/h. The Carwash Mode is a convenient and innovative function that gives drivers a more luxurious and seamless car washing experience.

General Motors is changing the towing game with unique technology offered through an integrated camera system. The all-new 2020 trucks use eight available cameras to provide up to 15 unique views, including a surround view, bed view, and the first ever transparent trailer view. The transparent trailer view uses the standard backup camera and an accessory camera mounted on the trailer to stitch together a wide-angle view behind the trailer, making the trailer appear “invisible”. The numerous camera views are seamlessly integrated in the 8” infotainment screen and provide increased safety while making towing a less daunting task.
